Maitland Showground Catering Services

The Maitland Showground is owned and operated by the Hunter River Agricultural & Horticultural Association Limited (HRA&HA). Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals or businesses to provide catering services to the Maitland Showground.

The Showground has two catering facilities which incorporate food preparation and storage areas including freezers, coolrooms and fridges as well as cooking equipment. Each facility also has service and counter areas and seating for dine in guests.

Between 30 and 40 events are held at the Maitland Showground annually. This is an opportunity to provide catering for campers on the Showground, functions and events at the Showground including the three-day annual Maitland Show, minimum of 14 Maitland Markets, music festivals, Caravan, Camping and 4WD Show and many more.
The facilities will also provide a base for catering services outside of the Showground.

The HRA&HA will negotiate a licence agreement with you for an initial 2-year period with a 2-year option. Ideally, you would commence on 1 October 2020, though a later date may be negotiated.

Your expression of interest should include your background and experience in catering services, details of your business and management structure, insurances, licences and the extent of your proposed operation.

Expressions of interest close at 12 noon Monday 31 August 2020 and can be lodged in person or by mail – Maitland Showground Office, 50 Blomfield St, Maitland 2320 or by email – Late submissions will not be accepted. The choice of operator for the Showground catering services by the HRA&HA will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
