Camping

Please note that there will be NO CAMPING available from Saturday, 18th May to Monday, 3rd June 2024 due to an event on the grounds.

The Maitland Showground is owned and operated by the Hunter River Agricultural & Horticultural Association, a not-for-profit community organisation. Maintenance to amenities and grounds is conducted during the working week and is funded by camping fees, donations and grants.

Maitland Showground offers spacious, grassed and powered sites for camping, subject to availability at all times.

Sites are available at $25 per site per night.

As we do not take bookings, we recommend contacting the Maitland Showground Office on (02) 4933 5052 or via email at office@maitlandshowground.com.au to check availability prior to your arrival.

The Office is open from 9am to 2pm, Monday – Friday. Please note that the Office is closed on Public Holidays. For all enquiries outside of Office hours, please call our Caretaker on 0429 940 065 between the hours of 6am to 6pm only. No entry will be permitted before 6am or after 6pm.

Please enter Maitland Showground via the main gate located on the corner of Blomfield and Anzac Street, Maitland NSW. We recommend that you use Anzac Street for GPS navigation purposes. The Office is located on the first right turn when entering and is signposted.

Gates are open from 6am to 6pm daily. Once registered, you will be provided with an access code to the amenities (showers and toilets) and the all-hours access gate located on Evans Street.

We are pet friendly, however, pets must be registered, microchipped, and restrained AT ALL TIMES. Dogs are unable to be left outside unattended. Please clean up after your dog.

Camping is limited to a maximum stay of 21 days in a 28 day period for caravans, motor homes and hard floor camper trailers. A maximum stay of 4 days is available for soft floor camper trailers and tents. We do not have permanent sites or cabins available. All caravans/motorhomes/mobile homes/vans and cars must be registered. Unregistered vehicles will be denied entry to the Showground.

During Market days camping is restricted to the first three rows on the left at the entrance of the Showground. During major events, like the Maitland Annual Show, no camping is available.

We look forward to welcoming you to Maitland Showground and hope you enjoy your stay with us.
