Throughout the year Maitland Showgrounds are used for a variety of activities, including Trotting since 1936, Greyhound Racing since 1927, Campdrafting since 1946, regular markets and auctions, annual caravan conventions and the International Photographic Salon.

The Annual shows have been a feature of community life in Maitland for generations with ring events and sideshow being the most popular attractions.

Other events held here include Groovin the Moo, Hunter Valley Camping & Caravan Show, monthly markets on the 1st Sunday of each month and various private and business events.

The showground is run by a not for profit association. Hire fees are used for the maintenance and improvement of the Showgrounds.

Areas available for hire include

• Pavilions – Thomas Morgan, McDonald – access to a small commercial kitchen, Arts & Crafts, Willard and Poultry
• Grounds – outside office, main camping area, Centre ring, carparking

Unfortunately we are unable to hire out for 18th and 21st parties.
