“Love Our Show”

We have opportunities available for you to Volunteer  at our 2025 Maitland Show over 3 fun filled days of live entertainment, competitions, set up in our pavilions and displays during the Show, Fri 14 February – Sunday, 16 February 2025. Does this sound like a way to give back to our local community and continue bringing our 163rd Agricultural Show to our area each year.

You can volunteer with us from set up from Monday, 3rd February until end of Show on Sunday, 16 February 2025.

I have been a volunteer for the past 60+ years, continuing my parents volunteer style of work.
It is very rewarding and in the last 5 years volunteering at the Maitland Show and Showground has been rewarding and challenging.
One meets all different types of people who are there for the same reasons as yourself. It is one way of giving back to the community in which I reside, many becoming friends.
I can recommend volunteering for all ages. You will receive more than you’ll ever give.

Well, it all began over coffee with friends. I listened to what my friend was saying and thought it was only two days, which was doable. I asked if help was needed, and I was overwhelmed with the response.

I turned up to my first day of handicraft quite apprehensive, but my nerves were quickly over as I was made very welcome and promptly given a job to do.

As I checked in the handicrafts, I met many wonderful, talented people and enjoyed every minute of my involvement.

I was hooked and I have been there ever since.
